Unpublished #37
Hey folks! Hope you’re all doing fine in this crazy world. Welcome to another appointment with Unpublished. Digging my archive has become a beautiful habit each time I need to prepare a new article. It’s a great chance to go back to shots I took in the past and never looked at again.
This month I want to share a few images I took with Giada. It was an easy one, not much to organize because I wanted to keep it simple and natural. Giada is an amazing model, I’ve always had a great time with her. This was no exception, and we managed to bring home a good number of great shots, both color and black and white.
The four images I’m sharing today were all shot in studio with flash, but the setup was deliberately kept minimal — no elaborate lighting schemes, just enough to let Giada be herself. Two shots on a dark background in color, two on a light background in black and white. Simple choices that let the subject breathe.
What makes a session like this work is the history behind it. Giada and I have been shooting together for years, and that familiarity shows. There’s no need to over-direct or explain every pose — things just happen naturally, and what I have to do is only follow the flow.
If you want to peek at some more fresh shots from my most recent work, you’ll find them here: teofranchi.com/recent
Take care and talk soon!

The intriguing thing for me about the color work, is that it presents in black-and-white overall due the clothing and background. The pop of the lipstick’s color is the singular indication (okay, also her skin tone) that color exists in the color photographs 👍
I like her attitude and beauty. These are nice pictures..
