This image is making me sad. String to keep the wildlife away, but a private dock to enjoy watching the wildlife? Something is utterly wrong with humanity. It is a good photo nonetheless.
Actually strings do not serve to keep wildlife away, but to protect the dock from those species who stand there in big groups leaving behind a mess and dirt. The side effect is that also wildlife may be occasionally impacted, which is indeed sad 😔
I have read that, Matteo! But to me it reads - we want to keep the birds that bother us away (soil the dock), while at the same time the dock offers a beautiful view of a natural habitat. The costs? Birds get hurt and injured. Shouldn't there a better solution.
I am not criticizing the photographer or the photo, because the photo shows a sad reality. I am glad this bird wasn't injured.
Eheheh no worries, I see what you mean. Actually we don’t know if the dock is also used for the navigation. Or if it’s only a beautiful viewpoint. That, I think, would change the perspective.

Sorry for the rant. Will shut up now.

The Bald Eagle is a wonderful success in how change to environmental protection can propagate life!
